MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The SSAC announced the 2026 SSAC Volleyball Players of the Week. Jakaya Smith of Faulkner was named Attacker of the Week, Kamrynn Williams of Xavier earned Setter of the Week and Lola Blancher of Loyola got Defender of the Week.

Attacker: Jakaya Smith (Faulkner – R-JR – OH – Decatur, Ala.)
• This is her first career weekly honor
• Smith had 51 kills over 15 sets this week as Faulkner went 3-1 at the FHU Labor Day Tournament
• Career-high 16 kills in a come-from-behind five-set win over Freed-Hardeman

Setter: Kamrynn Williams (Xavier – FR – S – Garden Ridge, Texas)
• This is her first career weekly honor
• Williams had 7.00 assists per set, totaling 91 assists in a 4-0 week for the Gold Nuggets
• Had a double-double of 17 assists and 10 digs against Dillard

Defender: Lola Blancher (Loyola – SO – DS – New Orleans, La.)
• This is her first career weekly honor
• Blancher had 92 digs over 17 sets, averaging 5.41 per set for Loyola
• Career-high 33 digs in the match against Stephens to end the weekend
