MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The SSAC announced the 2026 SSAC Volleyball Players of the Week. Kaylin Johnson of Mobile earned Attacker of the Week honors, Maurin Reyes from William Carey got Setter of the Week and Amree Patterson from UT Southern was the Defender of the Week.

Attacker: Kaylin Johnson (Mobile – JR – OH – Tallahassee, Fla.)
• This is her first-career weekly honor
• Johnson had 58 kills in a 4-0 week for Mobile, averaging 4.14 per set
• Added 13 digs, three block assists and an assist

Setter: Maurin Reyes (William Carey – SR – S – Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic)
• This is her second weekly honor in her career with her first coming in Week 11 last season
• Reyes had 6.42 assists per set, totaling 77 assists in a 3-1 weekend for WCU
• Had a double-double of 25 assists and 13 digs against Reinhardt, nearly getting a triple-double with nine kills

Defender: Amree Patterson (Tennessee Southern – SO – MB – LaVergne, Tenn.)
• This is her second weekly honor in her career with her first coming in Week 12 last season
• Patterson had 31 total blocks on the week, including 13 solo blocks
• Added 23 kills and nine digs
