MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The SSAC announced the 2026 SSAC Men’s Soccer Players of the Week. Fernando Pirry of William Carey was named SSAC Men’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week and Pawel Wolny of Life was named SSAC Men’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week.
Offensive: Fernando Pirry (William Carey – FWD – JR – Spain)
- This is his first-career weekly honor
- Pirry totaled four goals and two assists in a 2-0 conference week for the Crusaders
- He produced a hat trick and added two assists v. Brewton-Parker Christian and then netted the lone goal in a 1-0 victory over Thomas
Defensive: Pawel Wolny (Life – SR – GK – Katowice, Poland)
- This is his first-career weekly honor
- Wolny helped Life to a 1-0-1 week in conference play, including a 4-1 win over No. 22 Faulkner and a shutout over Mobile
- The senior collected seven saves against the Eagles
