MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The SSAC announced the 2026 SSAC Men’s Soccer Players of the Week. Christian Sentz of UT Southern was named SSAC Men’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week and Lenno Schmidt of Xavier was named SSAC Men’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week.
Offensive: Christian Sentz (UT Southern – SO – FWD – Pulaski, Tenn.)
- This is his first-career weekly honor
- Sentz led the Firehawks to a 2-0 week with six points on two goals and two assists
- He scored the game-winner and added an assist in a 2-0 win v. Bryan and a 4-1 win v. Brescia
Defensive: Lenno Schmidt (Xavier – SO – GK – Hamburg, Germany)
- This is his first-career weekly honor
- Schmidt delivered a four-save shutout in a 1-0 victory over 12th-ranked LSU-Shreveport
- He also had the assist on the game-winning goal
