MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The SSAC announced the 2026 SSAC Men’s Soccer Players of the Week. Jean Danitanga of William Carey was named SSAC Men’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week and Kenson Pierre of William Carey was named SSAC Men’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week.
 
Offensive: Jean Danitanga (William Carey – JR – S – Surprise, Ariz.)

• This is his first-career weekly honor
• Danitanga scored five goals in a 2-0 week for the Crusaders
• The junior produced a hat trick against Louisiana Christian and scored a pair against Texas Wesleyan

 
Defensive: Kenson Pierre (William Carey – FR – DEF – Bielefield, Germany)

• This is his first-career weekly honor
• Helped lead a defense that delivered a pair of shutouts on the week
• Limited Texas Wesleyan and Louisiana Christian to a combined five shots on goal, while also chipping in a goal himself
