MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Southern States Athletic Conference announced the creation of the SSAC Hall of Fame, established to honor the student-athletes, coaches, administrators and contributors whose achievements and contributions have left a lasting legacy within the conference. Nominations for the inaugural class are currently being accepted.
The conference will select up to five inductees each year, with the honorees recognized at the SSAC Awards Banquet in Montgomery, Ala.

Nomination Process
Nominations will be accepted from the public, including member institutions, coaches, administrators, and supporters of the conference. Nominees must meet the conference’s eligibility criteria and will be reviewed by the SSAC Hall of Fame Selection Committee.
Student-athletes, coaches and administrators must be at least five years removed from their final season of competition, coaching or service in the SSAC.
History
The SSAC was incorporated under the name Georgia Alabama Carolina Conference, Inc. on the 16th day of March 1999, and renamed the Southern States Athletic Conference, Inc. on the 27th day of June 2005.
