MONTGOMERY, Ala. – William Carey has locked up the top seed, but there is still plenty left to be decided with one weekend of SSAC softball regular season action remaining.
2026 SSAC Softball Championship
The three-day championship will run April 30 – May 2 at Wilson Morgan Softball Complex in Decatur, Ala. All teams qualify and compete in a double-elimination bracket.

Up For Grabs
- Mobile and Faulkner are fighting for the No. 2 seed, which will come down to winning percentage due to an uneven number of games played
- UTS and Blue Mountain are currently tied and close the season against each other. BMCU swept the first DH, Both teams swept ABAC and Brewton-Parker so they are locked into the third-fifth spots
- ABAC and Brewton-Parker each have four games remaining and will finish sixth or seventh. They split the head-to-head matchups 2-2. ABAC has a win over WCU to lean on
- Thomas and Point are locked into the eighth and ninth spots in the standings
Tiebreakers
(1) Overall conference record, (2) head-to-head, (3) record against teams from top to bottom, and (4) final rating of conference ranking prior to the conference tournament. When more than two teams are tied, the top-seeded team is determined using the above criteria; for the remaining tied teams, the tiebreaker criteria are reapplied using only the remaining teams.
