MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The SSAC announced the 2026 SSAC Softball Players of the Week. Addyson Jarman of Faulkner was named SSAC Softball Player of the Week and Jayden Sawyer of William Carey was named SSAC Softball Pitcher of the Week. The awards are for the week of April 6-12.
Player: Addyson Jarman (Faulkner – SO – OF – Deatsville, Ala.)
- This is her fifth-career weekly honor
- Jarman hit .391 and slugged .739, while totaling nine hits, five XBH, seven runs and nine RBIs in a 5-1 conference week for the Eagles
- She recorded a hit in five of six games, including going 5-for-7 with seven RBIs in a doubleheader sweep of Thomas
Pitcher: Jayden Sawyer (William Carey – JR – P – Mobile, Ala.)
- This is her sixth-career weekly honor
- Sawyer tossed a complete-game three-hit shutout v. No. 14 Mobile in a 2-0 Crusader victory
- She K’d five in the game and also homered at the dish
