MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The SSAC announced the 2026 SSAC Softball Players of the Week. Addyson Jarman of Faulkner was named SSAC Softball Player of the Week and Jayden Sawyer of William Carey was named SSAC Softball Pitcher of the Week. The awards are for the week of March 30 – April 5.
Player: Addyson Jarman (Faulkner – SO – OF – Deatsville, Ala.)
- This is her fourth-career weekly honor
- Jarman hit .625 and slugged 1.250 in a doubleheader sweep of Point
- She went 3-for-4 with a double, homer and three driven in in game one and 2-for-4 with a double and RBI in game two
Pitcher: Jayden Sawyer (William Carey – JR – P – Mobile, Ala.)
- This is her fifth-career weekly honor
- Sawyer went 2-0 with 27 strikeouts and a 0.89 ERA in 15.2 innings of work
- She fanned 15 in 6.2 innings of one-run ball v. Blue Mountain and worked all nine innings of a 2-1 win over UT Southern, allowing only one run on three hits with 12 strikeouts
