MONTGOMERY, Ala. – William Carey’s Jayden Sawyer was named NAIA Softball Pitcher of the Week, the national office announced.
The awards are based on performance for the week of March 30 – April 5.
Jayden Sawyer (William Carey – JR – P – Mobile, Ala.)
- This is her second NAIA weekly honor
- Sawyer went 2-0 with 27 strikeouts and a 0.89 ERA in 15.2 innings of work
- She fanned 15 in 6.2 innings of one-run ball v. Blue Mountain and worked all nine innings of a 2-1 win over UT Southern, allowing only one run on three hits with 12 strikeouts
