Day One Of 2025 SSAC Women's Bowling Championship In The Books

SAVANNAH, Ga. – Day one of the 2025 SSAC Women’s Bowling Championship saw top-seeded SCAD Savannah stay unbeaten and No. 3 SCAD Atlanta upset No. 2 Milligan. 
 
The double-elimination championship concludes Saturday at Bowlero Savannah. 
 
Match 1: #4 Mobile def. #5 Stillman 2-0 – The Rams won the team game 783-539, with Sierra Knight bowling a 174. The Rams then took the baker games 684-510. 
 
Match 2: #3 SCAD Atlanta def. #2 Milligan 2-0 – The Bees won the team game 904-811 with Amy Sanchez bowling a 218. SCAD Atlanta then took the baker games 871-811.
 
Match 3: #1 SCAD Savannah def. #4 Mobile 2-0. The Bees won the team game 944-766 and took the baker games 829-609. Raina Davis bowled a 209 in the team game.

Tournament Format
Winners’ Bracket: Consists of mini mega matches: 1 traditional team game followed by 4 baker games total (2 on first lane, 2 on opposite lane). If overall score is 1-1, a best of 5 baker match will be played.
 
Losers’ Bracket: Best of 7 baker match play. If there are byes required for higher seeded teams to due uneven number of teams for bracket play, practice lanes will be available as needed, but no practice after the last ball is thrown in the 10th for one team.
