STERLING HEIGHTS, Mich. – The 2025 NAIA Women’s Bowling All-America selections were announced, while Milligan and SCAD Savannah competed in the 2025 NAIA National Championship.

STERLING HEIGHTS, Mich. - The NAIA Women’s Bowling National Championships resumed Friday morning with the second through sixth rounds of competition, as eight teams kicked off the day, while the remaining four waited to learn their opponents for the elimination bracket.
 
The day began with William Penn (Iowa) facing Morningside (Iowa), and Penn secured a 4-1 victory in five games. Next, Spring Arbor (Mich.) pulled off an upset, defeating the top-seeded SCAD Savannah (Ga.), 4-3, in a thrilling seven-game match. Concordia (Mich.) followed with a 4-2 win over Saint Xavier (Ill.), and the final second-round match saw Pikeville (Ky.) emerge victorious in a hard-fought seven-game battle, edging out Mount Mercy (Iowa) in to the elimination bracket.
 
In the first round of the elimination bracket, Mount Mercy swept Marian (Ind.), and Saint Xavier would go on to beat Milligan 4-1. Morningside defeated Culver-Stockton, 4-1, and SCAD Savannah concluded the first round of the elimination bracket with a victory over Lawrence Tech (Mich.), in six games. This would set up second round matchups of Morningside and SCAD Savannah, and Mount Mercy taking on Saint Xavier.
 
In round four of the winner’s bracket, Spring Arbor (Mich.) continued their dominance with a 4-1 victory over William Penn, while Concordia (Mich.) triumphed over Pikeville with a 4-1 win in five, advancing to the next round. This set up a round five showdown between Spring Arbor and Concordia, where the winner would earn a spot in Saturday’s Championship match. In the elimination bracket, Mount Mercy defeated Saint Xavier 4-2 in a six-game series, advancing to face William Penn, with the loser heading home. SCAD Savannah overcame Morningside in a hard-fought seven-game series, winning 4-3, and would move on to face Pikeville in the round five matchup.
 
In round five, SCAD Savannah defeated Pikeville 4-1, and Spring Arbor secured their place in Saturday's championship with a 4-2 victory over Concordia (Mich.). Mount Mercy also triumphed over William Penn, a matchup of Heart of America Athletic Conference teams, to progress to the sixth round, where they knocked off top-seeded SCAD Savannah to advance to Saturday.
 
All-Tournament Team
After three days of intense competition, five players were honored as members of the 2025 NAIA Women’s Bowling All-Tournament Team: Lara Kurt of SCAD Savannah (Ga.), Jaelle Hamman of Mount Mercy (Iowa), Brooke Binder of Concordia, Devon Thomas of Spring Arbor, and Kayla Tafanelli of Spring Arbor. In addition to this recognition, Kayla Tafanelli was also named the tournament MVP for her outstanding performance throughout the event.
