2022-23 SSAC M&W Bowlers of the Week - No. 7

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – Milligan (Tenn.) swept the SSAC Men’s & Women’s Bowler of the Week honors, with Cooper Brackins being named SSAC Men’s Bowler of the Week and Elizabeth Coutta being named SSAC Women’s Bowler of the Week, the conference office announced Tuesday.
 
The awards are based on performance for the week of Dec. 19-25.
 
Cooper Brackins (Milligan – SO – Sevierville, Tenn.)
  • Brackins is the second Milligan bowler to win the honor this season
  • Finished 36th at the Glenn Carlson Las Vegas Invitational with 1,790 total pins over eight games (198.9 average)
  • He had four games over 200, with a high of 246
  • The sophomore was Milligan’s No. 2 individual at the Collegiate Shoot-Out with 1,128 pins over six games
 
Elizabeth Coutta (Milligan – FR – Smyrna, Tenn.)
  • Coutta is the third different Milligan bowler to win the award this season
  • Finished 9th at the Glenn Carlson Las Vegas Invitational with 1,785 total pins across nine games (198.33 average)
  • She had five games over 200, with a high of 245
  • At the Collegiate Shoot-Out, she finished 45th with 1,090 pins (181.67 average)
