MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The SSAC announced the 2026 SSAC Women’s Soccer Players of the Week. Millie Rayner of UT Southern was named SSAC Women’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week and Aylin Yildirim of Xavier was named SSAC Women’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week.
Offensive: Millie Rayner (UT Southern – SO – FWD/DEF – High Halstow, England)
- This is her second-career weekly honor
- Rayner totaled 26 points on 11 goals and four assists in a 2-0 conference week for the Firehawks
- Her week was highlighted by a seven-goal, three-assist effort v. Wesleyan
Defensive: Aylin Yildirim (Xavier – FR – GK – Winterthur, Switzerland)
- This is her first-career weekly honor
- Yildirim delivered a pair of shutouts in conference play, totaling five saves
- She had a two-save shutout at Faulkner and a three-save shutout at Mobile
