MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The SSAC announced the 2026 SSAC Volleyball Players of the Week. Emily Martin of William Carey repeated as Setter of the Week, while Medney Garraux of Life won Attacker of the Week and Abbi Williams of Blue Mountain Christian was named Defender of the Week

Attacker: Medney Garraux (Life – FR – OH – Marco Island, Fla.)
• This is her first-career weekly honor
• Garraux recorded double-digit kills in three of five matches played, helping lead Life to a 5-0 start
• Averaged 3.60 kills per set, hitting .393 on the week

Setter: Emily Martin (William Carey – FR – S – Slidell, La.)
• This is her second weekly honor in as many weeks and her second in her career
• Martin averaged 7.2 assists per set in three matches played
• Recorded six blocks, 22 digs and 12 kills

Defender: Abbi Williams (Blue Mountain Christian – JR – L/DS – Wetumpka, Ala.)
• This is her first-career weekly honor
• Williams recorded 67 digs in 11 sets in a 2-1 week for Blue Mountain
• Averaged 6.09 digs per set and added five service aces
