MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The SSAC announced the 2026 SSAC Softball Players of the Week. Aspen Teague of Blue Mountain Christian was named SSAC Softball Player of the Week and Reece Patterson of Faulkner was named SSAC Softball Pitcher of the Week. The awards are for the week of April 20-26.
Player: Aspen Teague (Blue Mountain Christian – JR – INF – Ramer, Tenn.)
- This is her first-career weekly honor
- Teague hit .588 and slugged .824, while totaling 10 hits and seven RBIs in a 3-1 week
- She had a pair of four-hit games
Pitcher: Reece Patterson (Faulkner - JR – P – Centre, Ala.)
- This is her first-career weekly honor
- Patterson collected a win and a save in two relief outings, logging 10.2 innings of one-run ball with seven strikeouts
- She picked up a four-inning save in a 4-3 win over Brewton-Parker Christian, allowing only one hit in four shutout innings
