MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The SSAC announced the 2026 SSAC Baseball Players of the Week. Jaxon Buratt of Loyola was named SSAC Baseball Player of the Week and Brady Bowen of Loyola was named SSAC Baseball Pitcher of the Week. The awards are for the week of March 9-15.
Player: Jaxon Buratt (Loyola – JR – INF – Prairieville, la.)
- This is his first-career weekly honor
- Buratt hit .600, posted a .737 OBP and slugged .900, while totaling six hits, seven runs scored and eight RBIs in a 3-1 week for the Wolf Pack
- The junior had a hit, RBI and run scored in every game, capping the week by going 3-for-4 with three runs, three RBIs and three steals in a win over UT Southern
Pitcher: Brady Bowen (Loyola – SR – P – Houma, La.)
- This is his third-career weekly honor
- Bowen tossed a complete-game one-hitter in a win over UT Southern
- He fanned five and walked none, while allowing only one run in a 6-1 Wolf Pack victory
