MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The 2025 Southern States Athletic Conference women’s soccer award winners were recognized Wednesday evening. Life and William Carey dominated the individual awards, with three different student-athletes from each taking home individual honors.
UT Southern’s Kamilia Tayebi and William Carey’s Karen Vilau are repeat first-team selections, while Sacha Millward (Life), Lilja Olafsdottir (Life) and Ella Jefcoat (WCU) earn first-team recognition after being second-teamers last season.
Vilau (20 goals, 13 assists), Millward (24 goals) and Helen Gutierrez (16 goals) lead the league on the offensive end. Defensively, Nerea Pallas Padilla has allowed only seven goals in 18 starts and Livia Pertl anchors a defense that allowed more than one goal only once this season. Elora Niederpruem has 68 saves and a 0.73 goals against average.
