- Loyola (29-8) won the SSAC Tournament Championship to receive an automatic bid
- St. Thomas won the Sun Conference Regular Season and Tournament Championships and boasts a 25-4 record
- The teams matched up in August with Loyola winning 3-1 (25-27, 25-21, 25-20, 25-13) in a neutral site contest. Loyola’s Ivana De Carvalho Peixe had 14 kills on a .333 hitting percentage

- Mobile (29-3) earns a No. 21 national seed after winning the SSAC Regular Season Championship and climbing to No. 22 in the national poll
- Marian (18-11) is receiving votes in the latest poll and competes in the Crossroads League
Twenty-four NAIA Opening Round matches will take place at campus sites on Nov. 22, with those winners advancing to the final site of the NAIA National Championship Dec. 3-9 in Sioux City, Iowa.
