MONTGOMERY, Ala. – Andre Ferreira of Faulkner was named NAIA Men’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week, the national office announced.
The award is based on performance for the week of Oct. 20-26.
Andre Ferreira (Faulkner – JR – GK – Maia, Portugal)
- This is the fourth week that an SSAC goalkeeper has claimed the honor this season
- Ferreira starred in a pair of 2-1 wins over No. 7 William Carey and Mobile, totaling 16 saves and allowing only two goals on the week
- He stopped 10 shots to give Faulkner their first top-10 win in program history against William Carey and had six saves for their second all-time win at Mobile
