MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The SSAC announced the 2025 SSAC Women’s Soccer Players of the Week, presented by WinWon. Millie Rayner of UT Southern was named SSAC Women’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week and Chantelle Thomson of Thomas was named SSAC Women’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week. The awards are for the week of Oct. 13-19.
Offensive: Millie Rayner (UT Southern – FR – FWD – High Halstow, England)
- This is her first-career honor
- Rayner netted eight goals and added one assist in the Firehawks’ win over ABAC
- That is the second-most goals in a game in SSAC history and the most against a conference opponent
Defensive: Chantelle Thomson (Thomas – FR – GK)
- This is her first-career honor
- Thomson went 2-0 in goal on the week, totaling 12 saves and allowing only one goal
- She delivered an eight-save shutout v. Faulkner
