2023 NAIA Softball Championship Qualifiers Announced

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The NAIA Softball National Championship Opening Round qualifiers were announced Tuesday and Middle Georgia State and Mobile (Ala.) will represent the SSAC.
 
The Opening Round tournaments will take place at campus sites across the country May 15-17 with 10 double-elimination brackets. The winners will advance to the NAIA Softball World Series in Columbus, Ga., May 25-31.
 
No. 2 Mobile 
  • The Rams head to the Chickasha Bracket as the No. 2 seed with No. 1 Science & Arts (Okla.), No. 3 Cottey (Mo.) and No. 4 Avila (Kan.)
  • Mobile (38-13) earned an at-large bid
  • They are making their sixth appearance in the Opening Round and boast a 15-3 record and three OR titles
 
No. 2 Middle Georgia
  • The Knights are the No. 2 seed in the Indianapolis Bracket along with No. 1 Marian (Ind.), No. 3 Columbia (Mo.) and No. 4 Tennessee Wesleyan
  • Middle Georgia earned an automatic bid after winning the SSAC Tournament 
  • Middle Georgia (42-12) is making its first appearance in the Opening Round
