MONTGOMERY, Ala. – Regular season volleyball action gets underway Friday in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics, with a trio of Southern States Athletic Conference teams hitting the road to open the 2026 season.

Mobile opens the season ranked No. 24 in the preseason NAIA poll and is the only team in the top 25 or receiving votes in the conference.
 
This season, all 12 teams in the conference will qualify for the 2026 SSAC Volleyball Championship, presented by Dreamland BBQ. The tournament will take place Nov. 12-14 in Montgomery and will feature a pool play format with four pools that lead into the semifinals and finals.
