MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Southern States Athletic Conference announced the 2026 SSAC Men’s Tennis Scholar-Athlete Team and Scholar-Athlete of the Year.
Loyola’s Sam Izrael was named 2026 SSAC Men’s Tennis Scholar-Athlete of the Year after the senior physics major posted a 3.96 GPA. On the courts, he earned First-Team All-Conference honors and is currently ranked 47
th in the ITA NAIA Individual Rankings.

- Ranby-Al leads with a 3.97 GPA
- Nguyen earned SSAC Player of the Year honors, while Ibragimov was named SSAC Championship MVP. All seven honorees earned All-Conference recognition
- To be eligible, student-athletes must be a sophomore or above in both academic and athletic standing, must be starters or important reserves, have at least a 3.3 cumulative GPA and have competed in 50% of competitions
- Graduate students and transfers must have completed one semester at the school
