MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Southern States Athletic Conference announced the 2026 SSAC Baseball Scholar-Athlete Team and Scholar-Athlete of the Year.
Loyola’s Jaxon Buratt was named 2026 SSAC Baseball Scholar-Athlete of the Year after the junior posted a 3.58 GPA. On the field, he was named First-Team All-Conference and earned Gold Glove honors after hitting .382 with a .495 OBP, 17 XBH and 50 RBIs.

- To be eligible, student-athletes must be a sophomore or above in both academic and athletic standing, must be starters or important reserves, have at least a 3.3 cumulative GPA and have competed in 50% of competitions
- Graduate students and transfers must have completed one semester at the school
