MONTGOMERY, Ala. – William Carey’s Victoria Vieten was named NAIA Women’s Tennis Player of the Week, the national office announced.
 
The awards are based on performance for the week of April 6-12.
 
Victoria Vieten (William Carey – SR – Dusseldorf, Germany)

• Vieten went 9-1 individually, including 5-0 at No. 1 singles as the Crusaders picked up wins over No. 10 Loyola, No. 6 Xavier, No. 8 LSU Alexandria and RV LSU Shreveport
• She beat ITA No. 9 Maja Brnic (XULA) 6-3, 6-4 and No. 12 Nahia Echaide (LSUA) 6-1, 7-5
