MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The SSAC announced the 2026 SSAC Men’s Outdoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week. Jaylyn Session of William Carey was named SSAC Men’s Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week and Romaine Lewis of William Carey was named SSAC Men’s Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week. The awards are for the week of March 16-22.
 
Track: Jaylyn Session (William Carey – SO)

• This is his second-career weekly outdoor honor
• Session hit a pair of NAIA qualifying marks at the Ole Miss Classic
• He won the 100m (10.20) and 200m (21.11), hitting the “A” standard in the 100m

 
Field: Romaine Lewis (William Carey)

• This is his first-career weekly indoor honor
• Lewis won the long jump with a jump of 7.37m at the Ole Miss Classic
• He hit the NAIA “A” qualifying mark in the event
