MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The SSAC announced the 2026 SSAC Softball Players of the Week. Emory Hall of UT Southern was named SSAC Softball Player of the Week and Jayden Sawyer of William Carey was named SSAC Softball Pitcher of the Week. The awards are for the week of March 9-15.
Player: Emory Hall (UT Southern – FR – OF – Chapel Hill, Tenn.)
- This is her first-career weekly honor
- Hall hit .600 and slugged 1.000, while totaling six hits, five runs and six RBIs in a 3-1 week
- She had a hit in every game, including three extra-base hits. She went 2-for-2 with a triple and four RBIs in a win over Freed-Hardeman
Pitcher: Jayden Sawyer (William Carey – JR – P – Mobile, Ala.)
- This is her third-career weekly honor
- Sawyer threw her third no-hitter of the season, going the distance in a 5-0 win at Brewton-Parker Christian with nine strikeouts
- She also fanned 13 in a one-hit shutout v. ABAC and leads the NAIA with 115 strikeouts
