2026 SSAC Women's Basketball Championship Semifinals Set

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The semifinals are set at the 2026 SSAC Women’s Basketball Championship, with the top four seeds advancing to Friday’s games.

#3 UT Southern def. #6 Blue Mountain Christian 75-72 (2 OT)
  • Silkiari Vazquez-Troche tallied 24 points, 13 rebounds, nine assists and six steals for the Firehawks, while Lauren Smith finished with 13 points and 11 boards
  • The Toppers got 17 points, eight boards and five assists from Maddie Kirk and 13 points and seven assists from Isabella Carlson
  • UTS scored the first seven points of the final OT period, with Vazquez-Troche notching the final four
 
#2 Faulkner def. #10 Abraham Baldwin 76-62
  • Faulkner’s Ella Jane Connell tallied 19 points, knocking down four triples and Ruthie Smith had a double-double of 12 points and 10 boards
  • ABAC got 27 points and 13 rebounds from Shakiria Chaney and 17 points on five triples from Reese Riddle
  • Faulkner held the Fillies to 32% shooting overall and held a 46-39 edge on the glass
 
#1 Loyola def. #9 Mobile 72-54
  • Alissa O’Dell led Loyola with 18 points and 15 rebounds, shooting 7-of-10 from the field, while Deniya Thornton added 17 points and seven boards
  • Jada Johnson tallied 19 points and four steals for Mobile, while Cierra Highland chipped in 11 points on 4-of-7 shooting
  • Loyola held Mobile to 32% shooting overall and 16% from distance on 32 shots, while dominating the rebounding battle 54-31
 
#4 William Carey def. #5 Life 55-49 (OT)
  • It was a low-scoring game that saw the teams score 10 points or less in seven out of 10 periods
  • Shaneal Corpuz had 13 points, eight rebounds and five assists for the Crusaders
  • Kenya Robinson led Life with 14 points and 12 rebounds
  • WCU forced 23 turnovers and hit 21-of-31 FT’s, compared to 15-of-21 for Life
