2026 SSAC Softball Players To Watch

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – Below are the Southern States Athletic Conference Softball Players to Watch for the 2025-26 season. 
 
The 2026 SSAC Softball Championship takes place April 30 – May 2 in Decatur, Ala.

Tess Rollins
SO, P, Warner Robins, Ga.
 
- Tess is a sophomore pitcher that is coming off a very good freshman season. She made the SSAC All-Freshman Team. She has a very strong upside being a year smarter and leading our staff as a freshman.

Emma Humphrey
SO, INF, Vidalia, Ga.
 
- Emma is a sophomore hitter that hits with power to all areas of the field. She is coming off a solid freshman year and should be in the middle of our order again.

- Neely led the team in ERA and strikeouts last year and plans are for her to be a regular weekend starter this season.
- Neely battles in the circle and trusts her defense behind her.

- Kelsey led the team in batting average, hits, and total bases last season.
- She will be regular contributor in the middle of the line up for BMCU softball.

- Has earned the following accolades in her first three seasons as a Lady Eagle: 2025 SSAC Player of the Year, 2023-25 First Team All-SSAC, 2023 SSAC All-Freshman Team
- Just the second SSAC POY for Faulkner since 1999 (Taylor Parker 2021)
- Has led the Lady Eagles in batting average each season; led the SSAC in the 2025 regular season in batting average (.486) and on-base percentage (.537) by nearly 30 points; led the team in hits and runs scored each of the last two seasons (2025 - 71 H, 51 R; 2024 - 65 H, 36 R); led the team in on-base percentage as a sophomore with .979 while also leading the pitching staff with a 2.12 ERA and 1.18 WHIP in five appearances with a 3-0 record; has started all but one of her 130 games played at Faulkner, primarily at second base or pitcher, entering the circle in relief in the one non-start vs. Central Baptist as a freshman

- First SB FOY for Faulkner since 2002 (Holly Miller), just the second in program history
- Started all 46 games as a freshman; .422 batting average, .764 slugging, 1.206 OPS, .442 on-base percentage; 68 hits, 56 RBIs, 39 runs scored, 10 home runs, and 13 stolen bases on 16 attempts on offense; 81 putouts with .989 fielding percentage on defense
- Hit for the cycle in Game 2 at USSA in her second week and fourth series of college softball

- Hodges is a lead off/center field, a great leader on and off the field. The senior earned First-Team All-Conference honors last season as an outfielder and earned second team honors in 2024.

- As a junior transfer from Itawamba, Julia hit a team leading .420 and led the team in doubles, HR, and on base %. She's a talented player with a team-first attitude, and that's what makes her so valuable to us.
