MONTGOMERY, Ala. – Below are the Southern States Athletic Conference Women’s Tennis Players to Watch for the 2026 season.
The 2026 SSAC Women’s Tennis Championship takes place April 16-18 in Mobile, Ala.

- Lorena is a sophomore from Brazil starting her 3rd semester at ABAC. She has been working hard and improving in the offseason, and I am looking forward to seeing her compete this Spring!

- Lina plays with a deadly forehand.
- She is great at adjusting her game to match with any opponent.

- She played well in the fall with several wins in our matches. Manquillo is quick on the base line and isn’t afraid to challenge at the net.
- Her groundstrokes are powerful and efficient.

Graduate student, Tucson, Arizona
- Adele returns as an MBA student after graduating a year early with a B.S. in International Business. She will play out her final semester of eligibility as one of the most successful players in program history. Adele finished the 2026 spring season as the SSAC Tournament MVP and set the program record for most singles wins in a season with 17.
- She ended the fall ranked seventh nationally in the NAIA doubles rankings alongside partner Avery Frierson. The duo reached the ITA Gulf Regional doubles finals, becoming just the third doubles team in Loyola history to qualify for the ITA Cup. Adele will continue to provide exemplary leadership and competitiveness for her team this spring.

Freshman, Bangalore, India
- Presha impressed in her fall debut, reaching a NAIA national singles ranking of No. 34. She joins Loyola Hall of Fame shoe-in Lucy Carpenter as the only Loyola freshman to earn a national singles ranking in their first semester.
- Presha will gain valuable experience in her first spring and has a very bright future ahead.

- Emily will be an immediate impact in the lineup this season with one year of Junior College experience. She never gives up and will fight for every point.

- Has been a starter in the line up since coming to UT Southern. She will contribute experience and leadership to the team and compete inside the top 4 most likely.

- A solid newcomer to college tennis with a long career playing ITF Junior tournaments in Europe. Started slow in the fall due to an injury but finished strong with solid wins at the end of fall 2025 and is healed up and ready to play.
- We look for her to be an anchor in the middle of the lineup.

- Victoria won the ITA Regional Championships for the second time in her career and made the Semifinals at the ITA NAIA National Championships. She is currently ranked #3 in Singles in the Nation.

- Jian was the SSAC Freshman of the year and All-American last year. She went her Freshman year undefeated in Singles.
