MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The SSAC announced the 2025 SSAC Volleyball Players of the Week for the week of Sept. 22-28. Corrina Porch-Maxey of Mobile was named SSAC Volleyball Attacker of the Week, Jaci Drinnon of Mobile was named SSAC Volleyball Defender of the Week and Emma McPherson of Mobile was named SSAC Volleyball Setter of the Week.
Attacker: Corrina Porch-Maxey (Mobile – SR – OH – Indianapolis, Ind.)
- This is her fourth-career honor
- In a 2-0 week for the Rams, Porch-Maxey led with 35 kills, averaging 5.0 kills per set. She also attached at a .306 clip
- The senior posted 17 kills and hit .467 in a 3-0 win over Point, while adding 18 kills and five blocks in a 3-1 win over Xavier
Defender: Jaci Drinnon (Mobile – SR – L – White Pine, Tenn.)
- This is her seventh-career honor
- Drinnon averaged 8.0 digs per set across a pair of victories, totaling 56 digs
- She posted a season-high of 39 digs in a 3-1 win over Xavier and had only one reception error on the week. Drinnon reached 1,000 career digs on the week
Setter: Emma McPherson (Mobile – JR – S – Mobile, Ala.)
- This is her second-career honor
- Across a pair of wins, McPherson put up 54 assists (7.71 a/s) and 18 digs (2.57 d/s) while operating in a 6-2 system
- She tallied 27 assists and six digs in a 3-0 win over Point and 27 assists and 12 digs in a 3-1 win over Xavier
