MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The SSAC announced the 2025 SSAC Volleyball Players of the Week for the week of Sept. 29 – Oct. 5. Tianna Kynard of Point was named SSAC Volleyball Attacker of the Week, Emily Osborne of Mobile was named SSAC Volleyball Defender of the Week and Emma McPherson of Mobile was named SSAC Volleyball Setter of the Week.
Attacker: Tianna Kynard (Point – JR – MH – Phenix City, Ala.)
- This is her third-career honor
- In a 2-0 week, Kynard attacked at a .516 clip and averaged 3.0 kills per set with 18 kills total
- She also added four blocks on the week, posting a high of 12 kills v. Brewton-Parker Christian
Defender: Emily Osborne (Mobile – SR – MB – Niceville, Fla.)
- This is her first-career honor
- In only one match, Osborne totaled eight blocks in a 3-0 win over Faulkner
- She averaged 2.67 blocks per set and added three solo blocks and four kills
Setter: Emma McPherson (Mobile – JR – S – Mobile, Ala.)
- This is her third-career honor
- McPherson totaled 26 assists (8.67 a/s) while operating in a 6-2 rotation in a 3-0 win over Faulkner
- She added six digs in the match
