New Site For Outdoor Track & Field
The SSAC, the City of Gulf Shores and the Alabama Gulf Coast Convention & Visitors Bureau reached an agreement to return the SSAC Men’s and Women’s Outdoor Track & Field Championships to the Gulf Shores Sportsplex in Gulf Shores, Ala. The championships were previously held at the venue in 201, 2015 and 2023.
Long-Standing Partnerships
The 2025-26 championships will take place in familiar locations, including the continuation of long-standing partnerships with Montgomery and Decatur, Ala. The partnership with Montgomery started back in 2012-13, while Decatur has hosted the softball tournament since 2017. Golf has been held at RTJ at Cambrian Ridge and cross country has run at Oakville Indian Mounds Park since 2018.
Venues With Championship Pedigree
Five of the championship venues have hosted NAIA National Championships, with Gainesville’s Alachua County Sports & Events Center currently hosting the NAIA M&W Indoor Track & Field Championships and the Mobile Tennis Center serving as the long-time site of the NAIA M&W Tennis Championships. The Emory Folmar YMCA Soccer Complex (NAIA Men’s Soccer), Gulf Shores Sportsplex (NAIA M&W Outdoor Track & Field) and Wilson Morgan Softball Complex (NAIA Softball) all previously hosted national tournaments.
