MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Southern States Athletic Conference announced the 2025 SSAC Men’s and Women’s Bowling Coaches of the Year. SCAD Savannah’s Katie Thornton was named SSAC Women’s Bowling Coach of the Year and Milligan’s Michael Hall was named SSAC Men’s Bowling Coach of the Year.
 
The awards were voted on by league coaches. 
 
Thornton guided the Bees to the 2025 SSAC Women’s Bowling Championship and earned a bid to the NAIA National Championship, where the program will seek its fourth-straight National Championship.
 
In his first season with the program, Hall helped Milligan to a runner-up finish at the 2025 SSAC Men’s Bowling Championship and has the team ranked third in the NAIA RPI. The Buffaloes earned an at-large bid to the NAIA National Championship.
