MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Southern States Athletic Conference announced the SSAC Softball Players of the Week, presented by WinWon. Tori Wright of Brewton-Parker (Ga.) was named SSAC Softball Player of the Week and Baileigh Herrera of Thomas (Ga.) was named SSAC Softball Pitcher of the Week.
 
The awards are based on performance for the week of Jan. 27 – Feb. 2.
 
Tori Wright (Brewton-Parker – SO – C/UTIL)

• This is her first-career weekly honor
• Going 2-1-1 to open the season, Wright hit .583, posted a .600 OBP and slugged .833 while totaling seven hits, three runs, three RBIs and three steals
• She reached base safely multiple times in each game and had multi-hit efforts in three out of four contests

 
Baileigh Herrera (Thomas – JR – RHP)

• This is her first-career weekly honor
• Herrera tossed a complete-game shutout in a 2-0 victory over Ave Maria in her Thomas debut
• She struck out six and allowed only four hits in the complete-game effort
