MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The SSAC announced the 2025-26 SSAC Men’s Basketball Players of the Week. Ja’Ron Briggs of Dalton State was named SSAC Men’s Basketball Offensive Player of the Week and KJ Rogers of Faulkner was named SSAC Men’s Basketball Defensive Player of the Week. The awards are for the week of Nov. 24-30.
Offensive: Ja’Ron Briggs (Dalton State – SR – G – Kansas City, Kan.)
- This is his first-career weekly honor
- Briggs averaged 18 points, nine rebounds and 4.5 assists per game in a 1-1 week
- He produced 19 points, 11 boards and seven assists in an 84-79 win over Lindsey Wilson
Defensive: KJ Rogers (Faulkner – SR – G – St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands)
- This is his sixth-career honor and third defensive nod
- In a pair of games, Rogers averaged four steals and four defensive boards
- He helped keep one of the nation’s best offenses nearly 20 points below their average
