MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The SSAC announced the 2025-26 SSAC Men’s Basketball Players of the Week. Zachary Lee of Loyola was named SSAC Men’s Basketball Offensive Player of the Week and Esrael Yant of Blue Mountain Christian was named SSAC Men’s Basketball Defensive Player of the Week. The awards are for the week of Nov. 10-16.
Offensive: Zachary Lee (Loyola – JR – G – Mansfield, Texas)
- This is his first-career weekly honor
- Lee averaged 19.7 points, 5.3 rebounds and 3.3 assists in a 2-1 week, while shooting 61% from the field
- He had a high of 36 points, six assists and five boards, while shooting 60% in a 96-95 win over SUNO
Defensive: Esrael Yant (Blue Mountain Christian – JR – G – Tallahassee, Fla.)
- This is his first-career honor
- Yant averaged 4.7 steals and 2.7 defensive boards on the week
- He collected eight steals and added a pair of blocks v. Crowley’s Ridge
