MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Southern States Athletic Conference officially welcomed Point University, Thomas University and University of Tennessee Southern as full members beginning with the 2023-24 season. The league now has 13 full-time members competing in 20 championship sports.
UT Southern was previously an SSAC member from 2013-14 to 2019-20 when they were known as Martin Methodist College. Point’s competitive cheer team has been an affiliate member with the SSAC since 2017-18. Thomas comes from the Sun Conference, who the SSAC partners with for M&W Swimming and M&W Indoor T&F Championships.
