MONTGOMERY, Ala. – Middle Georgia State swept the SSAC Softball Player of the Week awards, with Karlee Back being named SSAC Softball Player of the Week and Beth Eddins being named SSAC Softball Pitcher of the Week, the conference office announced Monday.
The awards are based on performance for the week of April 11-17.
Karlee Back (Middle Georgia – SO – 2B – Leesburg, Ga.)
- In a 4-0 SSAC week, Back hit .692, slugged .923 and posted a .750 OBP, while totaling nine hits, five RBIs, four runs and four steals
- She reached base three times in three of the four games and went a combined 4-for-6 with four RBIs and three runs in a sweep of Stillman
Beth Eddins (Middle Georgia – JR – RHP – Gainesville, Ga.)
- Eddins was the starting pitcher in a combined perfect game v. Blue Mountain. She threw four of the five perfect innings
- In her other start, she tossed four innings of three-hit, shutout ball v. Stillman to pick up the win
