WEST POINT, Ga. – Point University opened a new chapter in the Skyhawks men's golf program, announcing the hiring of Logan Gosdin as its next head coach.

"I am incredibly honored and grateful to serve as the men's golf coach at Point University," said Gosdin. "I look forward to continuing to build a championship culture centered on hard work, accountability, unity and representing the university with excellence."

Gosdin steps into his new position after playing at Point from 2020 through 2025. He then served in a managerial role the following year. During his five seasons as a golfer at Point, the Skyhawks captured the Appalachian Athletic Conference Men's Golf Championship in 2021 and qualified for the NAIA Men's Golf National Championship four times (2021, 2022, 2024 and 2025).

Logan takes the reins from Maddux Lytle, who served five seasons as the Skyhawks' head coach. Lytle said, "I could not be more excited for and confident in Logan and the leadership he will bring to the program. He is a fantastic young man who has been a large part of the program for six years. I cannot wait to see the development he brings to the student-athletes in golf, life and faith!"

Point opens its 2026-27 campaign Sept. 14-15 at the Coastal Georgia Fall Invite, which will be held at Sea Palms Golf Resort on St. Simons Island.
