MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The SSAC announced the 2026 SSAC Women’s Outdoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week. Shevaughn Thomas of Life was named SSAC Women’s Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week and Annalise Leitner of Life was named SSAC Women’s Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week. The awards are for the week of April 27 – May 3.
Track: Shevaughn Thomas (Life)
- This is her first-career weekly outdoor honor
- Thomas hit a pair of NAIA “A” qualifying marks
- She hit the standard in the 400m hurdles (58.69) and 4x400m relay (3:44.79)
Field: Annalise Leitner (Life)
- This is her first-career weekly outdoor honor
- Leitner competed in the hammer, finishing with a toss of 44.80m
