MONTGOMERY, Ala. – After two days of 2026 NAIA Softball Opening Round action, three SSAC schools are still alive in the hunt to advance to the NAIA Softball World Series.
Faulkner, Mobile and William Carey are still alive, while Blue Mountain Christian and UT Southern saw their seasons come to an end. Faulkner and Mobile are still unbeaten in the double-elimination tournament, while William Carey needs to win three games over the next two days.
The Toppers picked up the first tournament win in program history with a 4-3 win over Williams Baptist. The Toppers’ two losses were one-run defeats to the top two seeds Oklahoma City and Grand View.
