2025-26 SSAC Men's Golf Individual Award Winners Announced

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The 2026 SSAC men’s golf individual award winners were recognized after the championship, with Dalton State’s Ben McFadden earning SSAC Player of the Year honors. 
 
Co-Coach of the Year: Ben Rickett, Dalton State
Co-Coach of the Year: Kevin Barefield, Blue Mountain Christian
Player of the Year: Ben McFadden, Dalton State
Co-Freshman of the Year: Scott Frisby, Dalton State
Co-Freshman of the Year: Leo Testas, Faulkner
Newcomer of the Year: Hugo Griesheimer, Point
Sportsmanship Award: Mobile
 
Noteworthy
  • Rickett has now claimed eight Coach of the Year honors, while Barefield earns his first recognition
  • McFadden is the 10th-straight Roadrunner to earn Player of the Year honors, with six different golfers earning the award in that span
  • Testas recorded a pair of under-par rounds to finish third at the SSAC Championship, with Frisby shooting a final-round three-under to place eighth
  • Griesheimer also carded a 71 on day three to finish in the top 10
