MONTGOMERY, Ala. – Loyola and UT Southern advanced to the NAIA Women’s Basketball National Championship Second Round Friday, while Faulkner and William Carey saw their seasons end with close losses.

#4 Loyola def. #13 Milligan 87-79
- Loyola freshman Tiarra McPipe tallied a season-high 20 points on 10-of-14 shooting
- Alissa O’Dell added 17 points for Loyola
- The Wolf Pack led for 35 ½ minutes to end Milligan’s 10-game winning streak
#3 UT Southern def. #14 Northwestern 82-79
- Ashley Dickey led with 25 points and four steals, while Silkiari Vazquez-Troche added 12 points and nine assists for UT Southern
- Northwestern shot 51% from the field and held a 42-26 edge on the glass, but UTS went 16-of-28 from the FT line, compared to 9-of-15 for NWC
- The Firehawks also forced 23 turnovers, while committing only nine

- Ruthie Smith led the Eagles with 20 points and 13 rebounds, while Morgan Holland DeWitt added 16 points
- Southeastern’s Mya Herman knocked down 6-of-10 triples to finish with 34 points, while Sarah Davis went 4-of-6 from long range
- Faulkner got 3-pointers from Smith and DeWitt to take a 76-74 lead in OT, but the Fire scored the next 11 to take control
#12 Shawnee State def. #5 William Carey 74-72
- WCU was led by Addyson Sherer’s 21 points on 7-of-10 shooting, while Jenna Garriga had 15 points and six rebounds
- Shawnee out-shot the Crusaders 51% to 39% from the field and forced 21 WCU turnovers
