MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The fifth slate of 2026-27 SSAC Games of the Week, presented by Herff Jones, were announced.
Men’s Soccer: Saturday, October 10 | Faulkner at UT Southern | Pulaski, Tenn.
- Two nationally ranked teams enter the weekend battling to stay in the top four in conference play as the regular season has just three weeks left. Faulkner sits on 18 points, while UT Southern is on 12, just two points inside the top four.
- Faulkner, ranked 14th in the first selection committee poll released last week, is led by Bernardo Juca’s 12 goals, ranking second in the conference. A trio of Eagles are atop the assists leaderboard with Juca and Leo Freire each having eight. Pep Riofrio has six assists.
- The Firehawks were third in the NSC poll and are led by Christian Sentz’s five goals and three assists. William McGinn has allowed just over one goal per match, saving 33 shots in his 10 matches between the posts.
Women’s Soccer: Saturday, October 10 | Point at Xavier | Metairie, La.
- Going into the weekend, the two teams are sitting in fourth and fifth with Xavier still unbeaten in SSAC play. Point is six points behind XULA.
- Naomi Tilley has 11 goals on the year to lead Point, while Seline Flores is third in the conference in goals against average at 0.73.
- Xavier's offense is the third best in the entire nation, only behind two other SSAC schools. Julia Gurgel leads the league with 21 goals, while Maureen Owusu is third in the conference with 10 assists.
Volleyball: Friday, October 9 | UT Southern at Life | Marietta, Ga.
- Both teams sit on 11 points heading into the weekend of play, which is good for a tie for third as it currently stands.
- The Firehawks have gone the distance in each of their last two matches, falling in five set thrillers each time. Ashlee Kraft is averaging nearly 3.5 kills per set to pace UTS.
- Life has swept three of their last five matches in conference play. Medney Garraux leads the squad in kills per set (3.13) and digs per set (2.93).
