MONTGOMERY, Ala. – Loyola was picked by league coaches to repeat in the 2026-27 SSAC Women’s Basketball Coaches’ Preseason Poll.

The Wolf Pack claimed last season’s regular season title, while William Carey won the conference tournament.

The 2027 SSAC Women’s Basketball Championship, presented by Chappy’s Deli, will take place Feb. 23-27 at the Multiplex at Cramton Bowl in Montgomery, Ala.

Kellie Kennedy, Loyola Head Coach: "Being picked at the top of the SSAC is a testament to the standard we’ve built here. Coming off a regular season championship last year, our expectations haven't changed. We return a strong group and have also added some talented newcomers who know what it takes to win and handle the day-to-day grind. We embrace this challenge for the 26-27 season and look forward to competing in such a strong league."
