MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The SSAC announced the 2025-26 SSAC Men’s Basketball Players of the Week. Tommy Tisdale III of Brewton-Parker Christian was named SSAC Men’s Basketball Offensive Player of the Week and Jonathan Goldson of Thomas was named SSAC Men’s Basketball Defensive Player of the Week. The awards are for the week of Dec. 29 – Jan. 4.
Offensive: Tommy Tisdale III (Brewton-Parker Christian – SO – G – Selma, Ala.)
- This is his first-career weekly honor
- Tisdale tallied 31 points in a win over Spartanburg Methodist
- The sophomore knocked down 7-of-9 shots from 3-point range and 6-of-7 from the charity stripe to score the career-high
Defensive: Jonathan Goldson (Thomas – FR – G – Fairburn, Ga.)
- This is his first-career weekly honor
- Goldson totaled eight steals, three blocks and nine defensive boards in a 1-1 week, while also averaging 16 points per game
- In a win over ABAC, he posted 18 points, eight rebounds, five steals and a pair of blocks
