2026 SSAC Baseball Players To Watch

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – Below are the Southern States Athletic Conference Baseball Players to Watch for the 2026 season. 
 
The 2026 SSAC Baseball Championship takes place April 29 – May 2 in Jackson, Tenn., at Rockabillys Stadium.

SR, LHP, Ellaville, Ga.
 
- Second-Team All-Conference selection as a junior. 
- A highly competitive individual who wants the ball in big situations.

Quentin Rawls
JR, SS, Lake Butler, Fla.
 
- Second-Team All-Conference selection as a sophomore. 
- A superb athletic individual who hits in the leadoff spot and adds tons of defensive stability to the infield.

- Benji has great leadership qualities on and off the field for our team. He is a team captain for the 2026 season.
- He has a great competitor's attitude on the pitching mound and was a trusted starter for our team last year.
- We think he has the chance to really be a quality pitcher in the SSAC this year.

- 64 hits, 27 walks drawn, 2 HBP to just 34 strikeouts for a .449 OBP
- .957 fielding percentage over 161 chances

- Iacobucci has had a strong fall for the Skyhawks. He looks to continue that pace as once of the key pieces in the Point rotation.
- The RHP posted 9.2 strikeouts per 9 over his 12 starts in his summer campaign with the Regina Red Sox of the Western Canadian League.

- The senior outfielder hit for a .281 average in his first year as a Skyhawk.
- Burgos made only one error in his 50 chances in the outfield last year.

- Vickers is a hard throwing right-hander that brings a ton of passion to the mound.  He works incredibly hard at his craft and is a leader on the pitching staff. 
- We expect big things from Ian this year and beyond.

SR, C, Wakulla, Fla.  
 
- Lawhon brings a wealth of experience behind the plate as a third-year starter for us.  He really came into his own as a hitter the last half of the 2025 as well, carrying our offense down the stretch. 
- I look forward to seeing it all come together for Braden his senior season.

- Jake is a 6'4 RHP that will be a key returner for us on the mound. He was 6-2 last year as a starter, striking out 71 hitters through 63 innings. 
- Jake is projected to play a big role for us this spring.

Reed Muschinsky
JR, Bradenton, Fla.
 
- Reed is a 6'4 outfielder that we expect to be a force at the top of our lineup. He continues to prove he is a complete hitter and puts pressure on teams with his athleticism. 
- Reed also has one of the strongest arms in the country.

- Matt has the ability to take over a game, and could be one of the best pitchers in the league
- Went 6-3 on the mound in 11 starts, striking out 60 in 52.2 innings

OF, SR, Hattiesburg, Miss., Eastern Kentucky University
 
- Deejay established himself last year as one of the best hitters in the league, with plus bat speed and his ability to drive in runs.
- Posted .401 BA, 6.32 SLG and .559 OBP in 2025 with 46 RBIs and 61 runs scored
