MONTGOMERY, Ala. – Juan Cespedes of Faulkner was named SSAC Men’s Golfer of the Week and Eryn Blakeley of Point was named SSAC Women’s Golfer of the Week. The awards are based on performance for the week of Sept. 1-7.
 
Juan Cespedes (Faulkner – SR – Santiago, Chile)

• This is his first-career honor
• Cespedes won his first collegiate tournament with a one-over 143 (68, 75) at the Skyhawk Fall Classic
• He shot a three-under 58 in round one and carded eight birdies in the tournament. The senior bested teammate Lucas Nicola in a playoff hole to break the individual tie

 
Eryn Blakeley (Point – SR)

• This is her first all-time honor
• Blakeley finished tied for second at the Skyhawks Fall Invite with a seven-over 151 (76, 75)
• She finished only one stroke back of first
